Job Responsibilities: KNOE -TV, is seeking a Sports Anchor/Reporter to prepare and deliver sportscast. Successful candidate will be responsible for shooting and editing sports video, writing stories for sportscast, anchor weekend sports segment, and help produce and anchor football show. Our Award Winning sports team needs an energetic, self-starter with the ability to uncover local sports stories, and develop and maintain relationships with local sports community. Need someone to deliver more than just scores and highlights. A degree in broadcast journalism or related field required; previous on-air experience preferred. Job Title: KNOE Traffic Manager
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Responsibilities: KNOE TV 8 CBS has an immediate opening for a Traffic Manager to manage and coordinate all aspects of the traffic department. Duties include but are not limited to data-entry, commercial copy instructions, preparing daily log, checking and approving sales contracts, and managing commercial inventory. We are looking for a highly organized individual with excellent computer skills and the ability to effectively deal with staff, and management. Previous traffic experience is preferred.

Job Title: PM Producer
Reports To: News Director
Job Responsibilities: KNOE 8 News – CBS in Monroe, LA has an immediate opening for the newsroom’s lead producer. This is not an entry level position. The perfect candidate will have had experience in television as a producer at a similar or smaller market or an associate producer at a similar or larger size market. If you just stack the news and go home, then don’t even bother applying for the opening.
KNOE 8 News is the dominate news station in the market, and one of the highest rated news departments in Louisiana. Daily, you will be responsible for crafting and writing KNOE 8 News at SIX, and the region’s most-watched KNOE 8 News at TEN. KNOE 8 News at TEN has an 11 minute A-block and at least 20 local stories, At 6:00, you have access to our team of dayside reporters, live trucks, fiber feeds, and satellite shots.
This is a small market station with big market look. The right person will be able to think outside the box, respond well under pressure, meet strong deadlines, and take charge in breaking news. Be new media friendly including multi-media, web development, and be social media aware.

College degree preferred. Minimum three years broadcast sales or equivalent experience preferred. Must be self motivated with proven track record of success. Must have strong presentation skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to work under pressure, very strong organization skills, and a team spirit attitude required.

Job Title: Evening Anchor
Reports To: News Director
Job Responsibilities: KNOE TV CBS 8 in Monroe, Louisiana, has an immediate opening for an Evening News Anchor. Candidate will co-anchor 5,6 and 10pm newscast. The perfect candidate can produce, report and cover breaking news events as needed while being a skilled presenter. Will be responsible for one or more franchise pieces during the week.
Prefer an individual who has reported for a minimum of three years and who has either anchored a regularly scheduled news broadcast or hosted a show on a commercial or public television station. Community and station appearances are a significant part of the commitment to this job. You should have excellent live and new media skills, plus the ability to impact your audience by showing authority, enthusiasm, credibility and confidence.

Job Responsibilities: KNOE TV in Monroe, Louisiana has an exciting career opportunity for a Morning Anchor/Reporter. You will need a college degree, and at least 2 years of professional anchoring and reporting experience. This is not a job for a beginner. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and the ability to develop stories. You should be able to meet deadlines, work well under pressure and handle the demands of an early morning shift. You should have excellent live and new media skills, plus the ability to impact your audience by showing authority, enthusiasm, credibility and confidence.
The ideal candidate will be required to report live in the field as well. In addition, this person will update our web site, do weekly packages for the morning show. Anchor will also be responsible for show franchise pieces, morning cut-ins and filling in on noon news when needed. Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field of study preferred.
