• MUST possess very Strong Computer skills.  Experience with Desktop Publishing for Sales Presentations.  Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point & Internet experience.

• Strong Organizational, Phone & Communications Skills a MUST.

• The ability to work in a fast paced environment.

• Strong aptitude and desire to work with detail.

• Create and Produce Collateral Sales Materials.

• Assist with National and Regional Sales effort.

• Assist Account Executives with any stage of the sales process.

• Gather information from various sources to build and maintain sales presentations and packages.

News Director

KNOE-TV, Monroe Louisiana, the #1 CBS Affiliate has an immediate opening for a News Director. We are the top News Organization in this part of the country and looking to grow. Candidates must have the ability to lead, manage, recruit, train and oversee the day to day operation of a staff of 35. Candidates must have great passion and work ethic with effective knowledge of broadcast news and digital content.

The ideal candidate will be an intensely competitive individual, able to demonstrate news ratings growth, display a history of effective leadership and proven excellent news judgment and integrity. This position requires at least 5 years’ experience in a news organization.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The ability to report & shoot in the field, editing, plus the ability to provide reliable and accurate reporting that builds a trust with our viewers.

You must have excellent reading, writing, organizational and interpersonal skills. Also the ability to handle multiple tasks and moderate to high stress and deadline pressure.

Proficiency in ENPS newsroom computer system a plus.

College degree in Journalism or related field preferred.

A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required.

Specific Responsibilities include:

-Pitch local story ideas on a daily basis and be able to enterprise assignments in the field

-Monitor and keep track of local news related events

-Prepare and research stories to cover and questions to ask during interviews as directed.

-Field produce stories as a one-man-band reporter by arranging on-camera interviews, stand-ups, and b-roll footage this includes scheduling, framing, and blocking.

-Maintain, transport, and understand how to operate ENG equipment

-Serve as videographer by gathering story elements on shoots

-Perform “as-lives” or live hits in the field or in studio as directed

-Cultivate and maintain news contacts

-Screen and transcribe field tapes

-Ingest selected field tape footage from tape deck to computer

-Prepare reporter’s script for stories

-Produce appropriate voice track for stories

-Edit material in accordance with script

-And other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Job Title: Anchor/Producer

DATE AVAILABLE: 8/4/11

KNOE TV CBS 8 in Monroe, Louisiana, has an immediate opening for an News Anchor. Candidate will co-anchor undetermined newscast. The perfect candidate can produce, report and cover breaking news events as needed while being a skilled presenter. Will be responsible for one or more franchise pieces during the week.

Prefer an individual who has reported for a minimum of three years and who has either anchored a regularly scheduled news broadcast or hosted a show on a commercial or public television station. Community and station appearances are a significant part of the commitment to this job. You should have excellent live and new media skills, plus the ability to impact your audience by showing authority, enthusiasm, credibility and confidence.

Job Title: Master Control Operator
Reports To: Station Operations Manager
Job Responsibilities: KNOE TV has an immediate position available for Master Control Operator. The primary goal of the Master Control Operator is the gathering of all on air content produced by various commercial agencies, as well as, content that is produced ‘in house’ and ensuring that this content airs correctly at the times it is scheduled to air. Part of this procedure involves having good communication/cooperation with the Traffic Department, with regards to missing content on the logs and the creation of the daily logs.

The Master Control Operator is also responsible for ensuring that all program content for each station is received, processed correctly and entered into the correct play out server, ready for air in a timely manner.
